Established in 2005, Acorn Care and Education is fast becoming England’s premier provider of education and care for the most vulnerable and hardest to place young people.
This pace of growth, partly driven through acquisition can lead to a fragmentation of sense of identity resulting in a corresponding drop in engagement and ultimately performance.
Recognising this, the senior leadership team engaged with the Red Thread to conduct their first full scale Employee Engagement Survey and the subsequent communication, cascade and engagement activities.
The survey needed to be delivered to over 1200 people giving employees the option to respond either electronically or for a number of sites, on paper.
Following a successful communication campaign, reports were produced at the organisational level, for each of the major functions (Education & Care), for each site and for each designated role category. In total just over 60 separate reports were produced providing management at all levels, the information they needed to address any engagement issues across the business, leverage best practice and to share across the organisation.
