She has a drive to help as many people as possible to ‘Love Going To Work’. She believes that if you are using your natural strengths and talents then you will love what you are doing and be hugely productive. She also believes if the work you are doing is making you miserable then you must make a change!
She works with organisations to improve their leaders and managers and to improve their HR practice. She has over 20 years’ experience as an HR and development professional. She has worked for Ford, Glaxo, Microsoft and has spent 9 years as HR Director for Nominet. As a consultant, she has worked with start-ups right the way through to large companies, helping to create people strategies that will drive businesses forward and supporting the development of leaders, managers and teams. Gill’s HR background mean she is able to support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle and is particularly strong at change management, which she lectures on for an engineering master’s programme at Warwick University. Gill is a member of the CIPD, has worked extensively with the Strengthsfinder tool and is trained in NLP.
Gill helps to run two local drama groups and treads the boards herself. She uses her coaching techniques to help the young people overcome nerves. She is a governor for two local schools and trustee and HR Director for Citzens Advice in North Oxford and South Northants. She has recently returned to playing netball and pretends that she can still play like she did in her youth!!
