The Challenge
In 2022, Helix’s senior management team recognised the urgent need for a culture shift to support business transformation. At the same time, a new CEO stepped into the role and engaged Freddie Guilmard and The Red Thread Partnership to lead a company-wide change culture programme - with an expanded focus on building a high-performing leadership team.
Our Approach
Freddie worked closely with the CEO and executive leadership from day one, becoming a trusted advisor and daily partner in shaping strategy and team cohesion. His role quickly evolved into a company-wide presence, serving as a vital channel through which employees could share ideas, concerns, and aspirations.
Over the following three years, Freddie:
Facilitated honest and often challenging conversations to align the leadership team.
Embedded practices that improved communication, morale, and decision-making.
Held space for sensitive topics, always responding with integrity and discretion.
Supported senior-level recruitment and developed key talent within the organization.
When external factors limited progress, Freddie recalibrated expectations and focused efforts on what could be realistically achieved - ensuring continued momentum.
The Outcome
Now entering the fourth year of the partnership, Helix stands as a more mature and aligned organization. Initiatives seeded by Freddie are now owned internally, and he continues to add value by delivering leadership coaching and development through the World Class Manager programme.
