The 2025 Red Thread Fellowship begins, shaping the development of 11 future leaders.

The Red Thread Fellowship has officially kicked off its 2025 Fellowship programme, with two inspiring days of growth, connection and a commitment to compassionate leadership. Held at headline sponsor Ringway’s office in Milton Keynes, the launch event saw a cohort of 11 nervous but excited emerging leaders, known as MK8, make introductions, share their passions and opportunities for growth, completing robust personality tests before their transformative journeys begin.

A key part of the year long learning programme sees Fellows supporting local charities in becoming more sustainable for the long term. During the launch event, Fellows agreed their charity partnerships, with support for Emily’s Star, Age UK Milton Keynes, Men In Sheds MK, MK Snap and Harry’s Rainbow.

Each Fellow also commits to raising a minimum of £500 for their chosen charity. In the past, this has featured marathons, mountain climbs, quiz nights and even 24 hours in a bath filled with baked beans!

Launched in 2016, the Fellowship is a renowned programme which focuses on compassionate leadership.

The Fellowship is led by industry leaders Freddie Guilmard and Adrian Spurrell, who deliver a deeply immersive and personal experience. The Fellowship supports participants by developing leaders and managers who:

Lead with integrity
Are agile, versatile and proactive
Are open, curious and innovative, and have the courage to stand for positive change
Know how to create cultures that allow themselves and others to flourish – within their organisations and their communities
Are passionate about stepping up to their role as a leader, in their work and the communities they live in.

This vital work is undertaken thanks to the unwavering support of our sponsors Ringway, Freeths and Great People Inside.

With the launch event setting the foundation for the next 12 months, our MK8 cohort are now fully immersed in the programme. Over the coming months, fellows will engage in enriching action workshops and collaborative projects designed to transform their leadership skills.

We are incredibly excited to witness the growth and impact of this year’s fellows as they embark on this journey. Stay tuned for updates and insights as we continue to follow their progress!
